Zaku is a skillful ninja who must fight for the common good by confronting all those who obey the orders of the growing group of enemies. The acts perpetrated by them are despicable, as they take advantage of the precarious situation in order to end up dominating the world. So, you shouldn't have any pity when you meet these enemies, especially the final bosses, who will be quite complicated due to the high level of difficulty so characteristic of the game.
If you think you're an expert playing Oniken you can opt for the hardcore mode in which you only have one life and, after completing each phase, the energy bar will remain at the same level. Also, enemies are more powerful and in case you are defeated you must start the game from scratch.
